…and much, much more!

I love the workouts, they’re great for burning calories and working every part of your body. I took measurements but found that I hadn’t really shrunk much at all. I did lose 3/4” on my hips, but other than that—not much else. I was hoping to tone my arms. But I love the workout anyway, and I know that it has made me more fit—so no regrets! I did lost 5.4 lbs. during the 30 Days, so that’s something! I know the workout is a good one. My sister, who is already fit, did the 30 Day Shred and lost inches like crazy. So way to go to her! Maybe someday when I’m smaller, I’ll see better results in that way. I burned 5,741 calories doing the 30 Day Shred alone. I’m proud of sticking to it, even when I wanted to quit!

I can’t help but look at these pictures that hubby took of me and pick out all of the things that I don’t like. My “thunder” thighs, my saggy arms, and my big hips—but I have to tell myself that these are pictures of someone in action. They are pictures of me working to change the things that I don’t like to see. And someday down the road, when I get to my goal weight, I can compare these pictures to then and will be able to see the progress and how working hard got me where I will be! But I do like to be real. And as embarrassing as it is, I am posting these pictures to prove that you don’t have to be a fitness model to workout. Real women like me, and YOU, can do this too and we can kick butt while doing it! Who's with me!?

Here I am—a Winner—not a quitter!

NSV# 2

After my ring had fallen off my hand a few too many times for comfort, hubby and I took it to the jewelry store last night to have it resized. I went from a size 9.25 to a 7.5. That’s a big difference!

ring sizing Ring Sizing

It felt weird trying on that smaller ring sizer. It will be weird to get my ring back and feel how small it will be now! My fingers have shrunk, and I know they will shrink again—but at least I don’t have to worry about losing my ring anymore!

The women at the jewelry store were asking me if I had lost weight and what I was doing. We talked about the couch to 5k and running. I just felt so proud of myself for even being able to have that conversation. For other women asking me, ME-Alissa-, how I got started and admiring how far I had come and for running 5k’s. That made me feel good, too. Smile

NSV #3

I bought—and FIT INTO—a size 16 dress last night!!! I’ve been wearing size 18’s. A big step from size 24/26’s!

And a Scale Victory:

Today, I hit a new low on the scale—unfortunately, it’s not weigh in day, but it’s just another sign that I’m doing all of the right things! Let’s just say that Onederland was closer than EVER this morning and I hope I can keep it off for weigh in day on Wednesday!!

Are you celebrating any NSV’s? I’d love to hear about them!

  1. You look FANTASTIC in your work out gear, looking very toned!!!!!

I need to hear more about this 30 day shred. I've heard titbits here and there but it's not very well known this side of the atlantic. From the pics I am going to try and give it a go myself for 30 days.

Excellent milestones too and well done on getting a size 16!!!

  2. Great job on the shred. I sure it was not easy committing to it every day!

I had the same thing with my rings. Mine was a size 10 and now sized down to a size 6. Crazy!!!

    Keep up the good work.

  3. It is so easy to be critical of ourselves. :-/ You look really good! And I could def tell progress on your 4th of July comparison pic the other day! From the size you were to where you are now - WOWWW! Way to go! I am currently an 18 comfortably, fitting into a few 16's again. Yay. I told myself this morning - even if the scale isn't good to me Tuesday, I have been staying 100% on program and exercising really good so i know the scale will eventually catch up with my progress! Keep at it. You're doing great!

  4. Yay for NSV!
I know rings are one of the things that are difficult for me. After gaining weight I can't wear my rings anymore and miss them. I can't wait to lose some weight so I can wear my rings again.

  5. WTG on completing the 30 day shred....tough isn't it?

I still can't wear a lot of my rings but I'm almost there...what a great feeling that must of been to downsize them by that much....Keep it up girl your looking great!

Stop by I have a GIVEAWAY this week!!!

  6. Congratulations on everything Alissa. All your hard work is paying off, and I don't see anything but a fit, healthy and pretty woman when I look at the photos. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  7. You look amazing girl!! In fact i love your capris, are they old navy?? Anyways, a NSV...hmmm well last night I had a "cheat meal" which was fried fish and I STILL ordered a baked potatoe with it! Haha I guess Im starting to "think thin" whithout realizing it!

  8. Congrats on making it through all 30 days!!

  9. Great job on the Shred - that's an accomplishment to be sure! My fingers grew and then shrunk again. It is fun to celebrate those types of victories!

  10. Wow, you are my hero for completing the 30 day shred!! That is the toughest workout! And congrats on the other NSVs! Those are awesome achievements :)

  11. You look great! Congrats on finishing 30 Day Shred! I am trying to do 30 days in a row too. I missed a couple days but am back on track now and started level 2 today! I love it!
